Frequently Asked Questions -

Career and Leadership Coaching

Got questions?
I get it - coaching can feel like a big step, and you might be wondering what it actually involves. This page is here to give you the answers before you reach out, so you can see if coaching with me is the right fit for your career journey.

What exactly does a career and leadership coach do?

I help high-achieving women who are feeling burned out, stuck, or ready for change find clarity and confidence in their next career move. Whether you’re ready to leave a toxic job, step into leadership, or figure out your next role, I help you reconnect to what you actually want (not what your résumé says you should want) and build a plan to get there.

What can a career coach do for me?

Think of coaching as having a thought partner who’s fully focused on you - your goals, mindset, and obstacles. I help you:

  • Get out of your own head and see patterns that keep you stuck

  • Clarify your next career steps

  • Build confidence in decisions and take real, sustainable action

Whether you’re exploring a new role, navigating burnout, or stepping into leadership, coaching gives you clarity, accountability, and momentum.

What if I just want your advice or opinion?

Sometimes you just want someone to be real with you. I can absolutely give my perspective when you ask for it - honestly, directly, and constructively.
That said, coaching isn’t about me telling you what to do at every turn. My goal is to help you figure out the best path for you - using guidance, perspective, and honest opinion only when it helps you take confident action.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Career and leadership coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go next. Therapy focuses more on healing past wounds and processing emotions. If I ever think therapy would be more helpful than coaching, I’ll let you know - my priority is making sure you get the support that actually helps you move forward.

Who do you work with?

Most of my clients are women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s with strong, accomplished careers - Director level and above - who are ready for meaningful change. Some are still employed but burned out; others are in transition. They all want clarity, guidance, and actionable strategies to create a career that fits their life and values.

What happens during a coaching session?

Each session is a mix of clarity, strategy, and honest conversation. We’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next - whether that’s refining your résumé, navigating burnout, setting boundaries, or exploring a new career path. You’ll leave with practical takeaways and a plan of action - not just pep talks.

How long do clients usually work with you?

Most clients work with me for 3–6 months. We usually meet twice per month or once every two to three weeks - giving you time to take action between sessions while keeping momentum and accountability.

What if I’m unsure if coaching is right for me?

That’s what the free consult call is for. In 20 minutes, we’ll talk about where you are, what you’re looking for, and whether coaching is the right fit. If it is, we’ll make a plan. If not, I’ll point you in the right direction. No pressure, no pitch.

How is this different from other career coaching?

I’m not here to just “fix your résumé” or tell you to “network more.” My coaching digs deep - into who you are, what you value, and what’s holding you back. You’ll get honest feedback, real-world strategies, and a supportive space to figure out what’s next - without judgment or corporate jargon.

What if I’m unemployed or between jobs?

You’re absolutely welcome. Coaching during a transition can be the perfect opportunity to pause, reflect, and build your next career step intentionally - not out of panic.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Coaching should be accessible. I offer flexible payment options depending on the package you choose - we can talk through this during your consult.
